* 2007 Standings Event #6 Racing Called After Two Rounds
04/21/07 - Tonight's racing action was cut short after two rounds due to some much needed rainfall at the track. Although we only went two rounds, we saw the points chase tighten up considerably. Red lighters were out in force during round one as anxious racers tried to get the jump on their competition. We saw our points leader Rick Mortell hand over a win to John Perez and his Z. Others giving easy wins away were Paulette Glover and John Peters. Three of our top five points leaders were knocked out in the first round, Geogia Dobbs, Jeff Brohman and Rick Mortell. Steven Davis took a bye through the first round and in doing so, slipped one point ahead of Jeff for second place overall. Joe Gutierrez is slowly and methodically getting his convertible into contention as well as he moves into seventh place overall. Doug Masters rounds out our top five this week by getting Roger's C5 into the second round and solidifying fourth place. I'm sure he will miss that automatic in the coming weeks.
