Stephen Davis wins Event #4 for Two-In-A-Row

03/03/07 - What a beautiful night for drag racing. 22 cars again tonight (Daytona during the last race and Bike week at Daytona this week) in the The Horse Power Sales Corvette Challenge. Congratulations to Stephen Davis on his SECOND STRAIGHT Challenge win. Second great story, GEORGIA DOBBS mows down the boys and takes the runner up position. Georgia congratulations to you on a great run to the finals.

Tonight we had our first Canadian racer participating. Paul Hutton of Toronto came out to play and conveyed his GREAT TIME. He was quite pleased with what he called "the great Southern Hospitality" Paul we loved having you, next season when you return you can run all day with the new deal we have with Moroso. Thanks for coming out, your car is awesome, get some slicks for your return.

Round one had both of our newly announced Challenge Coordinators advancing to round two. Jeff took out Rick Mortell and Doug beat up on Joe G. Round two we paired off the new Coordinators (that did not take long) Jeff advancing to the next round since Doug was taking a nap at the starting line. Stephen Davis put current Champion back on the trailer. First battle of father and son had Keith Ramirez whooping dad Neil's butt by cutting a .074 light to the old guy's .133. In round three Georgia Dobbs continued her dominatrix (I mean dominant) ways by sending Jeff Brohman packing. Stephen Davis sent the last Ramirez home. Our associate sponsor Gonzalez and Sons Equipment inc, of Miami owned by Victor Gonzalez was driving his C5 with a brand new motor in it. ONLY 40 miles on her. Pass after pass had that car (in a detuned state) running 10.75 - 10.77 all night long. In this round he took out our Star Spangled Racer Jamie Jamison with another 10.75 pass. Fifth round had Georgia Dobbs coasting to an easy win over Victor Gonzalez as Victor went red. Hey Vic, don't let the pretty lady distract you anymore. Stephen Davis drew the bye and just eased himself down the track however, he did concentrate on his launch trying for that important lane choice. Final round Stephen Davis got lane choice against Georgia Dobbs. Great race that handed Stephen his second straight event win, when Georgia broke out. Congratulations to the both of you it was great.

Thanks to our GREAT SPONSORS Title Sponsor, Horse Power Sales of Pompano Beach Florida and Associate Sponsor Gonzalez and Sons Equipment Inc out of Miami. We thank you guy's for making this possible for us.

Thanks to Moroso Motorsports Park for providing the place for all this fun. New Track Manager Eric and his crew did a great job on the track which made for a real night of traction free racing.

Thanks to you, the racer. Thanks to the spectators for coming out and supporting us. We love you, and the support you offer each and everyone of you.

MESSAGE FROM BOB: I would like to thank EVERYONE that made the last two years some of the best in my life. Thanks for allowing me to be part of such a fine group of men and women. It was truly an honor working with you. I am now leaving you in the very capable hands of Jeff and Doug. I will now concentrate my efforts working behind the scenes with Moroso. I am not going away. I will now assume a position over seeing all the Moroso Challenge's. This was created to better keep the interest of ALL the MOROSO CHALLENGE SERIES, as well as the best interest of MOROSO as it pertains to the Moroso Challenge Series. This will result in a Win, Win situation for each of you, as well as Moroso.

Thanks for everything

Bob
