* 2007 Standings Jeff Brohman Wins First Event of 2007
01/20/07 -The first race of 2007 The Horse Power Sales is in the record books, with Jeff Brohman taking the win over runner-up Doug Masters. Final round had Jeff dial a 11.70 and run an 11.76 with a 0.59 light. Doug dialed 12.40 cut a .198 light and broke out running a 12.32 Congratulations to Jeff and Doug on their final round appearances.
Tonight we welcomed back all the racers as well as our Title Sponsor for the third year of the Corvette Challenge. Roger Preston, owner of HORSE POWER SALES of POMPANO BEACH was on hand showing his love of Corvette Racing. Thank You for your never ending support.
I would like to welcome our newest member of the Corvette Challenge sponsorship family...... GONZALEZ & Sons Equipment, Inc. Engineering Contractors.... Victor Gonzalez is one of our Challenge racers, and he decided to come on board as a Major Associate Sponsor for the 2007 season. GONZALEZ & Sons Equipment will be providing 2 semi finalist plaques at all of our points races this season. Victor loves the racing so much that he recently donated the equipment, material, and labor, to bring us the newest South Florida Drag Strip. We had 26 cars run for points tonight. Round one got underway about 10:30 pm due to many track cleanups needed. Tonight the newest member of the Ramirez racing team was on the track. Keith Ramirez hit the track with his Uncle Dino and dad Neil. Welcome to the Challenge Keith.
