Horse Power Sales Corvette Challenge @ Moroso was run tonight, with perfect weather for a great night of racing. 27 racers showed up to run their cars as well as our title sponsor Roger Preston from Horse Power Sales of Pompano Beach. Dino Ramirez took the all C4 final against Chris Sonsevere. Congratulations to Dino on another big win. Chris great job on your part tonight, welcome to the Corvette Challenge.
Tonight we saw 5 new racers come out on this holiday weekend. The Corvette Forum www.corvetteforum.com has become a valuable resource for spreading the word as most of the new racers tonight are from the forum. Thanks to Troy and those responsible for allowing all the Challenge events across the country to be promoted on the site. Thanks also to our title sponsor Horse Power sales and you, our racers for handing out the Corvette Challenge schedule cards.

John Chulski was the number one qualifier tonight, nice John. Mike Clark hit the tree with a perfect 000 light, excellent work on the tree tonight Mike (except that one RED) against Dino. LOL......
Dino has got to be the luckiest guy I have ever seen on the race track. Every opponent except for Chris in the final round red lighted against Dino tonight. The man had a private test and tune session during the event. I would rather be lucky than good anyday, however Dino is both.
Tonight also saw the announcement of a new associate sponsorship. Daryl Clark of Pride Auto Body Inc. Pride has come on as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the 2006 season. With that sponsorship came the addition of two new plaques that are awarded to the two semi finalists each month. Tonight's semi finalists were Larry Swiatek and John Occhiogrosso (Johnny "O") Larry has been running with us since the birth of the Challenge and Johnny "O" was one of tonight’s new additions. both received the new Pride auto Body Inc. semi finalist plaques.
As always we would like to thank all of you, the racers that come out and support the series. We also want to thank the many supporters that come out to cheer us on from the stands. Of course, we thank our sponsors, Roger Preston of Horse Power Sales of Pompano Beach for his continued on and off track support. We thank and welcome our new associate sponsor Daryl Clark of Pride Auto Body of Pompano. We hope to be able to announce additional associate sponsorships by our May 6th event, stay tuned.
