* 2005 Standings Jeremy Preston takes the win in Event 7!

After last months rain out we were really hoping to get this race in. In light of the weather potential and the holiday 18 diehards showed up to race. Sky was very threatening in the beginning but, slowly cleared and allowed a strange long night of racing. Our points leaders Dino #1 and Mike #2 were both eliminated in the 1st round. Also,first round saw Mark (isosoles) staging deep and the tree going red. This also happened to another pair of racers. Mark said "I did not go red that the tree never counted down". Someone had a video of the run and to my disbelief the racer was correct, track issue not driver. I called the tower and was told no problems give the track manager a call. After speaking with the track manager it was agreed that the 4 cars in question would run again. Great, Mark again lines up deep stages and tree goes instant red. Fortunately now all eyes were on it and they were able to correct the problem. Race was rerun with a different outcome, this time Mark advancing. 2nd round saw a two hour lightening delay. After all was said and done it wound up that the sponsors car Horse Power Sales of Pompano with another of his son's Jeremy Preston took home the winners trophy in a final round against Rick Mortel. Congratulations to the winners and to all the competitors who continue to show support of our great series. Long night of racing and lots of laughs. See everyone next month. As stated above Mike Clark our 2nd. in points went out first round. He stated "clutch problem". I think he just got whooped by the worst driver in the series.........ME
