* 2005 Standings Chris Preston takes first win in Event 5!

Chris Preston wins event #5 in a all Horse Power Sales of Pompano Beach final round. Horse Power Sales purchased a 2003 coupe this past week and turned it over to Chris for this month's Corvette Challenge. Another Horse Power Sales employee, JP Hickmon was the hired gun driving for Tracy Lewis of the Bradenton Corvette Challenge. Both drivers had great lights all night as they plowed through the field. Chris and JP lined up for the final round with Chris cutting a .019 light to JP's .036, that was all Chris needed to take the winners trophy home. Chris ran a 13.010 on a 12.97 dial and JP ran 12.635 on a 12.57 dial.

We had 22 cars and 24 drivers run this month. As in months past, 3 racers from the Bradenton Challenge made the long drive down to Moroso. Thanks Oliver Mader, Craig Gingerich, and Tracy Lewis for your continued support. Dino Ramirez still has a stranglehold on the points lead. Mike Clark, Jeff Brohman, and Richard Mortell are trying to make it interesting. Thanks to the racers spreading the word about the series, we had a few new racers at this event. On the other hand due to holiday commitments and two breakdowns, we were short 6 of our regular participants. Next month should we have a record turnout.
