* 2005 Standings First Corvette Challenge at Moroso Motorposrts Park is a Success!

Saturday night was the first points race of the season. 43 cars turned out, and 29 of them signed up for points. Tonight was a balmy mid 50's with a decent headwind, hopefully next month no wind. Carl Gilbert from Milton Florida won the Inaugural event. Carl ran low 11's all night in his blue 84. Runner-up went to Michael Clark from Coral Springs Florida in his black 98 coupe. Remainder of the top 5 are 3rd Bob Mancuso, 4th Dino Ramirez, 5th Richard Mortell.

We had a great time and I'll have the OFFICIAL Moroso point standings on Wednesday. Our sponsor, Roger from Horse Power sales of Pompano Beach was on hand to cheer on the racers with us. We had car years from 1967 - 2005 represented on the race track. Great to see a real diverse group of years out there. The final pairing was between an automatic C4 and a M6 C5 so it was also good to see the great driving by both types of car owners. Thanks to all who came out to race, spectate and help get this going. I'll have the official points posted here as soon as Moroso gets them to me.
